For over 20 years, the Bata Shoe Museum has been a cultural treasure in the heart of Toronto, bringing exciting and ground breaking exhibitions to visitors. Celebrating style and function of footwear in four impressive galleries, over 1000 artefacts (of the over 13,000 in the collection!) are on view at any given moment. Artefacts on display range from Chinese bound shoes and ancient Egyptian sandals to chestnut-crushing clogs and glamourous platforms. Over 4,500 years of history and a collection of 20th-century celebrity shoes are reflected in the semi-permanent exhibition, 'All About Shoes'. Three additional galleries feature changing exhibitions so there’s always something new to see with each visit. Family friendly activities, hands on demonstrations and a unique gift shop complete this enjoyable and unexpected experience. For every shoe there’s a story. Discover thousands at the Bata Shoe Museum.
