What a resource!! Spent the week in Chicago & this was a must see. I bought the package which had access to the various exhibits. One based on colour in nature which was beautiful & informative. Another was on Chinese culture which again was very interesting. As part of the package I had access to a 3D film based on the titanasaur. For the kids it's engaging and interesting but I found it a great watch too. You walk into the building and immediately you notice the huge titanasaur in the lobby which is just incredible. The dinosaurs were a real highlight for me. The accompanying information to each fossil topped it off. Of course it all builds to Sue the T-Rex. A real highlight of the whole day for me!! After seeing the dinosaurs I moved onto the natural history section which was unbelievable. I guess every single animal must be represented here. Of course I visited the gift shop for a souvenir but there is something for everyone here. An amazing place. Definitely check it out!!

Field museum is amazing and wonderful. We paid for the extended tickets to get into all of the exhibits and have the ability to watch a 3D movie. we were asked to pick a time for the movie when we claimed our tickets at the front desk so we chose 1:30. At 1:20, we walked down to the movie area and were met with an insanely long line. By 1:35, another patron walked back past us and told the line "good luck! you're going to wait for 2 hours!" My papa then walked all the way down to where the line ended and realized the guy wasnt lying. What is the point on having us choose a time for a reserved movie if there is not a guaranteed spot?? We may not have bought all the special ticket if I had known this would happen. The rest of the special exhibits were amazing, but it was shocking to walk into the general admission areas, you could almost barely walk bc of the crowd and forget social distancing. The museum needs to minimize their daily admissions, that was outrageous. Sue was awesome.

I really enjoyed seeing the fossils and human artifacts, but I must say that I was highly disappointed by all of the taxidermy in the animal exhibit. I saw so many endangered animals, many of them babies, stuffed and put on display like it was nothing. The museum claims to be an ally to the natural world and then showcases a legacy of environmental degradation and human-led species endangerment.
